About Via Carota Old Fashioned Cocktail
Jody Williams and Rita Sodi have been called “one of the great partnerships in the New York restaurant scene” by The New York Times. The pair co-own and co-chef Via Carota, a rustic Italian restaurant (or “trattoria”, as they like to call it) located in West Village, New York City. The restaurant ― inspired by a 17th-century villa near Florence where Sodi once lived ― is a sight to behold, but it’s the dishes and drinks that really tell the stories. Their cocktails are crafted with the finest ingredients, and the same goes for their lineup of bottled craft cocktails. Classic recipes have been tweaked and elevated to embody the cozy ambiance, warmth, and relaxed elegance of the restaurant, all in beautifully textured 375-milliliter glass bottles. Via Carota Old Fashioned is crafted with a 4-year-old rye whiskey that was matured in charred oak casks, aromatic bitters, orange, and brown sugar. The aged rye brings oaky and spicy notes that pair beautifully with citrusy and bitter notes, making for a deliciously classic sipper. The cocktail is bottled at 67 proof.

About Cocktails
The history of cocktails dates back to the not-so-good days of prohibition when people started to mix drinks trying to make the homemade or bootlegged liquor drinkable.
But things have changed since then, and cocktails have become increasingly popular with modern pop culture, from classics like Martini, Old Fashioned, or Negroni, to the more festive versions like Margaritas and Mojitos becoming staples in most bars.
