About Proclamation Blended Irish Whiskey
Released in 2020, Proclamation Irish Whiskey is a blend of triple-distilled Irish malt and grain whiskeys that were mostly matured in ex-bourbon casks with just a touch of sherry-finished malt. Crafted in small batches, the expression pays tribute to the 3 printers ― William O’Brien, Michael Molloy and Christopher Joseph Brady ― of the 1916 Proclamation, the document that proclaimed Ireland’s independence. The design of the bottle was inspired by the physical attributes of the document itself, right down to the font used and the blind embossing. The complex and deep whiskey is bottled at 81.4 proof.

About Irish Whiskey
Contrary to popular belief that Scots invented whisk(e)y, Irish whiskey was mentioned almost a century before its Scottish brother.
Its origin comes from the perfume distilling monks who decided to tweak the recipe a bit, creating Irish whiskey.
Irish whiskey doesn’t have a lot of rules and regulations to be considered “pure” and can be made with various grains and processes, as long as it is aged for at least three years in wooden casks and has a max ABV of 94.8%.
