About Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2011 Luminous Brut Champagne (1.5L)
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Brut Champagne is crafted with 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and 5% Pinot Meunier grape varieties. 2011 was a great year for Pinot Noir especially. The year also marks the 200th anniversary of the House, making this expression particularly special. Vibrant and stylish, this cuveé pairs well with prawns, razor clams, and quail. The Champagne is inspired by the House’s first prestige bottling, the slender neck modeled after the historic release, which in turn took its cues from the historic Blason de France. The iconic floral patterns are the work of Art Nouveau master Emile Gallé, who painted the Japanese white anemones for the House in 1902.

About Champagne
Champagne has been associated with royalties since the 17th century, still maintaining its glorious reputation.
The French take Champagne seriously, so coming from the Champagne region of France isn’t the only requirement that keeps this drink from being “just sparkling wine.” The rules of the appellation require specific vineyard practices, particular types of grapes, specific pressing methods, and secondary fermentation of wine.
