About Casa Maestri MFM Añejo Tequila
Destiladora Del Valle de Tequila ― also known as Casa Maestri ― is a family business that was founded in 2008 by Michael and Celia Maestri. Located in the heart of Jalisco, the most awarded tequila distillery in Mexico quickly became one of Mexico’s largest exporters of tequila as well. They use agaves from both the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco and rely on time-tested traditional methods when crafting their spirits. Casa Maestri MFM Añejo Tequila starts with 100% blue Weber agaves that are slowly roasted in stone ovens (hornos), ground, and fermented before being double-distilled. Then, the tequila matures for up to 14 months in ex-bourbon casks that were lined with agave syrup. Bottled at 80 proof, the gently sweet and complex expression won Double Gold at the 2022 SIP Awards.
