About Cadenhead’s Old Raj Dry Gin
Old Raj Gin was first introduced in 1972 and is produced by WM Cadenhead, an independent bottler based in Scotland. Best known for their whiskey and rum, Cadenheads launched Old Raj Gin back in 1972. There are two distinct versions of Old Raj produced with different ABVs. Each gin style is made with nine botanicals: juniper berries, orange and lemon peel, coriander seed, angelica root, orris root, cassia bark, almond powder, and saffron.
The botanicals (except saffron) are distilled with the base spirit. The gin is made using a Cadenheads signature recipe and then shipped to Campbeltown where they reduce the ABV and add saffron prior to bottling. The gin is infused with saffron following distillation due to its delicacy.

W.M. Cadenhead is an iconic whisky bottler. The original company was established by William Cadenhead in 1842, making it the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. The company remained in the same family until 1972, when it was taken over by J. & A. Mitchell & Co., the owners of Springbank Distillery.
