About Black Sheep Añejo Tequila
Black Sheep’s renegade crew embraces an unconventional approach, employing a rare, time-honored method that is meticulously precise. Their Añejo Tequila starts out as the finest 100% Single Estate Highland Blue Weber Agave. The adventure commences by gently cooking the agave in a steam-heated brick oven before crushing the cooked agave in a steel rolling mill, breaking down all those tough fibers, and letting the sweet nectar flow free. The nectar and the agave then unite in wooden fermentation vats and undergo a regulated cycle of heating and cooling for three days. Finally, the spirit gets distilled in custom-made, handmade copper pot stills. Black Sheep Añejo Tequila boasts an enchanting aroma that melds the captivating essence of agave with subtle whispers of honey and toasted oak. Its flavor gracefully follows suit, delivering a sweet agave profile complemented by a delightful, enduring finish that introduces a touch of honey. Aged for just a little under three years, it boasts a refreshingly clean and light mouthfeel that stands out with its impeccable balance and an elegantly lingering aftertaste adorned with traces of pure agave. In has been crowned the Best in the World, winning the prestigious Double Gold award at the esteemed San Francisco World Championship not just once, but twice.
